See Beyond the Ticket
What is Dig Site Scope?
Every ticket tells a story — but not the whole story. Dig Site Scope, a powerful new feature within KorTerra, uncovers what’s hidden behind the numbers, giving you a clear picture of excavation size, facility overlap, and complexity before crews step on site.
What does it measure?
- Dig Site Size (sg ft) — Measure of the size of the dig site as provided by the call center.
- Dig Site Overlap (linear ft) — Measure of the total facility overlap within the dig site.
- Facility Proximity (linear ft) — Measure of the distance to the nearest facility when a facility overlap does not exist.
- Boundary Overlap (linear ft) — The amount of facility lines within the surrounding area of the dig site.
Why does it matter?
- Enhanced Accuracy: Eliminate guesswork by seeing the precise boundaries of each dig site.
- Smarter Planning: Spot conflicts early and streamline scheduling to reduce costly delays.
- Safer Operations: Reduce the likelihood of damage by giving field teams full context before they dig.
- Better Communication: Share a consistent, easy-to-understand map with stakeholders to improve collaboration.
Let us show you the future of damage prevention.
“Our industry deserves better tools to understand the true scope of a ticket — not only so organizations can plan resources more effectively, but also so field techs can approach each day with confidence, clarity, and the support they deserve.”
– Brian Peters, Chief Product Officer, KorTerra
